When I was in high school, I was on the college track. At the time, there was only one AP class, AP US History. Of all the college track courses, AP was the most feared, with a huge text book and massive essays attached. I was actually looking forward to it, but for some reason my guidance counselor thought that I **didn’t** want to take it, and put me in regular US History my senior year. Which was so remedial that the teacher quickly figured out I didn’t belong, and let me go hang in the library for the period, letting me know when the tests would be.
